What Is Rent-A-Kid? Rent-A-Kid is a program for the students in J-Walk Youth Ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Aurora who are going on our summer Mission Trips. This program allows the students to volunteer their time right now to serve our congregation. The students provide the service you request and we ask that in return you give a donation to the students who volunteered their time. These donations are tax exempt and will go directly towards the students who were at your service. Please make checks payable to First Presbyterian Church with Mission Trip on the memo line.
How do I get students to help me? To have students come and serve you please contact Rigo Ortiz at the church office at (630)844-0050 ext. 254 Please leave a detailed message of how you would like our students to serve you, the date of service, your contact information, and you will be contacted to confirm the appointment.
What kind of things do they do? Our students have helped out with all sorts of things. Here is a list of things we have done in the past:
Mow a lawn
Dog sitter while you are away in vacation
Pull weed from flower beds
Dust the interior of your home
Helped set up a stage (for Easter Service)
Please do not hesitate to ask if we can help with your need. Our students are very capable of learning new things if you are willing to teach them. We also have very capable staff to help with work projects around the house.
