Hello all! It was an Amazing day today! All of our students got split up with the other churches and they all had amazing experiences. I just want you to hear a bit from two of them:
" By far this has been a different, yet, pleasant experience. It has only been a little over a day that we've arrived and already i've' met a couple of people who have interesting backgrounds, one of which is a rapper. My favorite part was the water-fan at the zoo although it made us look musty. The LGG last night was one of the most calming and soothing things that i've been a part of in a while. Having to wake up before 7am is truly something new for me and I'm sure for many coming on this trip. I'm excited for the upcoming days as today was an enjoyable day next to some incredible people. " ~Percy Huitron
"Today I experienced the ability to help disabled people in many ways. I spent the morning with Margie. She has a big heart and a nice personality." ~Gaspar
Our teams went throughout the city and served in a variety of ways. Unfortunately we are so busy and the fact that we do NOT have WiFi makes it really hard to write these posts, so unfortunately they will have to be short.
Please Pray for us as we are in a city that is hurting and there is a lot of racial division. The purpose of the Youth Works team here in St. Louis is to begin racial conversation between our students. Tonight the question that was raised was:
"What does racism look like to you? Obviously this is a HUGE question. And I have to go lead our group as they work through their answers.
